Do I need a computer and software for the class?
No. Most of our participants bring their own laptop with software already installed because they feel comfortable working on their own computer. We want to give you that option. If you have your own laptop to bring, but do not have the software yet, there is a free 30-day trial of each program on the official Adobe website. If you don’t like either of those options, we can provide you with a computer and software for a small, additional fee. When you register, you will indicate on the form if you are bringing your own computer or using one of ours. Our instructors are familiar with both Mac and Windows platforms—you are welcome to bring either.
Do I need the most recent version of Adobe for the class?
As an Adobe training center, we are always updated on the latest in Adobe software and we will always be teaching the latest version. We typically have a little lag time after a new release as individuals and companies are adjusting to the changes. We do recommend that you are using the most current version or the prior version. If you are using an older version, you would still benefit greatly from taking a class but we highly recommend upgrading or downloading the free 30-day trial on the official Adobe website.
How many people are in each class?
The maximum number of participants in one class will be eight. However, it is more typical that your class will have somewhere between 3–5 registrants. It depends on the specific class and time of year. We keep our classes small so each participant receives individual attention and can ask as many questions as they need to. We want you to get the most out of your Adobe training.
What kind of post-course support is given?
Many people that we talk to are afraid they are going to forget everything as soon as they leave the class. That is not true. One thing we recommend is to continue to use the software regularly…and don’t wait a month (or even a week) to use it again. But we are here for you too. You are given some great resources in the class that you can refer back to, and don’t forget you have 90-days phone and e-mail support with our staff at Visual Persuasion!
